It was great to spend a day gathering fresh hospitality insight at the Commercial Kitchen & Casual Dining Show this week. With a focus on sustainability and future industry trends, the event aligned particularly well with our company values.
‘The Future of Casual Dining’ keynote, hosted by Simon Stenning, outlined the current state of the industry and the key drivers propelling transformation in the coming years. Learning about the continued growth of Food Halls and experience-based dining was particularly intriguing. Despite overall growth, industry challenges remain, with higher food costs and high energy bills a constant concern.
‘Beyond Carbon: Tackling Sustainability from a Holistic Perspective’, Chaired by Juliane Caillouette Noble, featuring Sam Wood and Holly Letch, was also particularly insightful. Food production contributes around 37 per cent of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, highlighting the considerable impact that our diets have on climate change. As a company promoting commercial Kitchen Equipment’s longevity, we firmly believe that all must play our part as we look to the future.
