An early start on Tuesday morning saw members of the Certa team winging their way to France to visit our friends at Adventys.

A last-minute dash to the departure gate certainly got everybody’s blood pumping. Once we landed in Geneva, a beautiful drive across the French border to Adventys factory saw the team quickly relax into their new surroundings. An extensive factory tour allowed them to take in the state-of-the-art production facilities and appreciate the remarkable growth since their last visit. After a speedy hotel check-in, the team headed out for an outstanding evening meal at Soul Kitchen in the beautiful village of Beaune. Seating only 12 people and showcasing incredible local produce, the restaurant provided the perfect setting to enjoy a meal and long overdue catch up with our generous hosts, Jean-Luc and Mathilde.

Day 2 started with a whole team meeting to discuss product ranges and future innovations on the horizon. Then food, so much more food, with the Adventys chef producing a lunch that stretched our ever-expanding waistbands even more. The delicious food came thick and fast with everything cooked using the latest Adventys induction equipment. The afternoon saw our engineering and marketing teams split off with their French counterparts to discuss plans for the future. After two years of global uncertainty, it was refreshing to look forward positively to the future. Re-energised and full of ideas, once again, we left the factory on a high.

Another fantastic evening meal accompanied by excellent local wine led to lots of laughs and even some spontaneous (and quite frankly terrible) guitar playing from Andy. The hospitality carried on with another highly competitive table football competition. Wayne showcased his panther-like skills and the signs of a potentially misspent youth by wiping the floor with all challengers before heading to bed, basking in the glory of another conclusive victory.

Thursday morning saw the team head back to the factory for a final catch up and bid our farewells before the journey back to Geneva. Wayne reprised his position of in-car DJ, keeping the music and laughs flowing as we wound our way to Geneva before boarding our flight back to the UK.

An incredible couple of days away, enjoying some valuable insight, knowledge and memories with our friends at Adventys. To learn more about the fantastic range of Adventys induction cooking solutions, head over to their UK website or call one of the team on 01442 777055.
