What a dramatic 18 months it’s been for our industry! The lockdowns and uncertainty have been so hard on most people in the UK as we have been thrown into strange and uncertain times. Even now, dates and rules are constantly changing, and we have all had to adapt the way we work to survive. But adapt we have – more so in the hospitality industry perhaps than others. What has come out of this unprecedented situation is that we need to support each other to survive. Here at Certa, we’re confident that we can move forward and get hospitality back up and firing on all cylinders by working closely together.
Pubs and Restaurants are reopening
Summer is here and with restaurants and pubs re-opening across the country, having a meal cooked for you somewhere else from your own home, has never felt so good! At the time of writing, we are allowed tables of six with 30 people in a group outside so, finally, It’s time for us all to enjoy some long-awaited socialising with friends and family (safely and responsibly, of course).
Sporting events are back on…
At Certa, it is no secret that we are big sports fans, particularly through our sponsorship of Hemel Storm. We are delighted that so many delayed events are now back on with sports fans now being allowed back into stadiums, albeit with reduced capacity. These include the delayed Euro 2020 in which the England, Wales and Scotland football teams have all qualified, Wimbledon and the Tokyo Olympics. These events will provide an excellent opportunity to increase footfall and revenue for pubs and restaurants along with catering outlets in and around the venues as many of the home teams’ football games being played in the UK. And, as always, you can count on us to help make sure your kitchen equipment is fit and ready for the big kick-off in June.
We know that these are challenging times, but we’re here to help however we can. So, drop us a line for a chat. We’d love to hear from you, just as long as it’s not during an England game ; )
Brand new website launch
Here at Certa Service HQ, we haven’t rested on our laurels, but we have used the past year as an opportunity to update and review our business. This was always the plan, but somehow the day-to-day business was always more pressing both in maintaining our customers’ kitchen equipment and deploying our engineers to kitchen breakdowns. So, with more time during lockdown, we made use of it to really look at the services we offer our customers and how we could improve what we do and, vitally, how we communicate what we do.
We have launched our new website that showcases our updated brand and improved service offering for our customers. We have made it easier for visitors to find what they need quickly with more information on how we work with you from emergency callouts to fix faulty kitchen equipment to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts.
More recently, we have been busy reconnecting with our customers to ensure that their kitchens are fit and ready for action as things return to some semblance of normality. It’s been great to re-engage with our industry partners again and finally get our engineers back to doing what they do best.
