This time we headed off to visit the Restaurant Show and Catering Equipment Expo at Olympia London. Over the years, the Expo has become ‘the’ destination for the hospitality industry to connect, celebrate and discover new products, services and suppliers.
The hospitality industry gathered in impressive numbers, with representatives of restaurants, hotels, pubs, and bars from throughout the UK filling the venue.
As a service and maintenance provider, we are always keen to learn about the latest advancements and innovations in kitchen cooking appliances. Both Rational and Unox UK were present to showcase their latest combination ovens, and it was great to learn a bit more about how they are pushing boundaries. With a strong focus on catering equipment and management software, it was also interesting to see the industry technology moving forward in other areas beyond those we historically operate within. After all, every day is a learning day here at Certa Service 🙂
We rounded off a great day with a chat with the guys at CareerScope. It was fantastic to hear about their efforts and incentives to introduce fresh talent into the hospitality industry through the government kickstart scheme. With so much press coverage regarding staffing issues in the hospitality sector, it was refreshing to hear such positivity about future employment opportunities in our industry.
Another positive day in London, re-connecting with colleagues new and old. As always, we’re looking forward to next year already.
